International Students

Each year Millennia Atlantic University enrolls international students from all over the world, and our admissions team supports their journey every step of the way!

International applicants to the University must meet the same requirements and admissions standards as other students entering our undergraduate or graduate programs. In order to enroll, in addition to the completed and signed application, international applicants who have earned a degree from an educational institution outside the United States of America must submit original or certified sealed copies of their certificate of graduation, transcript, or other documentation which attests to the student’s successful completion of the secondary or postsecondary educational program equivalent to that awarded in the United States.

Associate’s and Bachelor’s Program Requirements

    1. Copy of the student’s passport (picture and information page). Include dependents’ passports if applicable.
    2. Payment of non-refundable application fee of $50.
    3. Last three (3) BANK STATEMENTS showing a minimum balance of $22,000. If you have dependents, you must show an additional $5,000 for each dependent.
    4. AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT if the bank account is under a different name than the applicant.
    5. Standard High School Diploma or recognized equivalent (such as a G.E.D.), along with Certified Official Transcripts.

    If you attended high school outside the United States:

    Diploma and official transcripts must be prepared by a service which is a member of the Association of International Credentials Evaluators (AICE), the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) or a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), such as The Evaluation Company (TEC)International Credential Evaluations (InCred), or Josef Silny & Associates, Inc.  All documents must be accompanied by a certified translation into English if the documents were originally created in a language other than English and submitted directly to the University from the Service Provider to admissions@maufl.edu. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ANY OTHER FORMS OF DELIVERY.

    NOTE: For applicants under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian is also required to sign the Enrollment Agreement.

    Master’s Program Requirements

      1. Copy of the student’s passport (picture and information page). Include dependents’ passports if applicable.
      2. Payment of non-refundable application fee of $50.
      3. Last three (3) BANK STATEMENTS showing a minimum balance of $22,000. If you have dependents, you must show an additional $5,000 for each dependent.
      4. AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT if the bank account is under a different name than the applicant.
      5. Two letters of recommendation from a former professor, instructor, or employee.
      6. Proof of completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. 

      If you attended an institution outside the United States:

      Official transcripts must be prepared by a service which is a member of the Association of International Credentials Evaluators (AICE), the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) or a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), such as The Evaluation Company (TEC)International Credential Evaluations (InCred), or Josef Silny & Associates, Inc.  All documents must be accompanied by a certified translation into English if the documents were originally created in a language other than English and submitted directly to the University from the Service Provider to admissions@maufl.edu.           Proficiency Requirement for Non-Native Speakers

          Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting one of the following scores:

          • TOEFL®A minimum score of 61 on the Internet-based Test (iBT), 173 on the Computer-based Test, or 500 on the Paper-based Test. 
          • IELTSA minimum overall band score of 6.0.
          • Oxford Test: A minimum score of 72.
              • Pay for the Oxford Test using your credit card here.
              • Take the test and send your test results directly to admissions@maufl.edu.
          • Duolingo English Test: A minimum score of 95.
              • Go to the Duolingo English Test website and sign up with your email.
              • Practice for Free! Take the Practice Test until you feel ready (a minimum score of 95 is required).
              • Pay for the Duolingo English Test using your credit card and search for MAU. In the search bar, type “Millennia Atlantic University” and select either the graduate or undergraduate programs. 
              • Take the test when you’re ready. Your scores will automatically be sent to MAU. You can also send your test results to admissions@maufl.edu.

          Millennia Atlantic University is authorized under Federal Law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students in accordance with section 101(a)(15)(F)(i); 8 CFR 214.2 (f)(10)(i); 8 CFR 214.2 (f)(6)(i)(G); 8 CFR 214.3(g) to enroll nonimmigrant alien students by issuing Forms 1-20.

          Steps to Process Your I-20 and Student Visa Application

          1. Complete the admissions process and received your Letter of Acceptance from Millennia Atlantic University.
          2. Upon receiving your I-20 Form from the PDSO office at MAU, you must schedule an appointment at your local U.S. consulate to begin the application process for your Student Visa. Information about U.S. Embassy can be found at usembassy.gov
          3. As you prepare for your upcoming appointment at the U.S. Embassy to apply for your F-1 Student Visa, please review the following requirements and recommendations carefully.

          Recommendations for Your Appointment

          • Arrive at the Embassy at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
          • Bring all original documents neatly organized in a folder. Please ensure you have printed copies of all online payments and confirmations. Missing documents may result in delays or denial of your visa.
          • Make sure your passport has at least 6 months of validity.
          • Be prepared to explain your academic plans and demonstrate your intention to study at MAU.

          Documents You Must Present at the Embassy

            1. Signed copy of your Form I-20 from Millennia Atlantic University
            2. Acceptance letter from MAU with your program information
            3. Certified transcripts and diplomas of your previous studies
            4. Financial documents submitted at MAU:
                • Bank statements 
                • Affidavit of support / sponsor letter (if applicable)
            5. Valid passport (with at least 6 months validity) and a copy of the biographical page
            6. Two passport-size photos (2” x 2” or 5cm x 5cm, white background)
            7. DS-160 form confirmation and  proof of payment (2 copies)
            8. SEVIS I-901 payment receipt (I-797) – $350 paid online at https://www.fmjfee.com. For those who have already made a previous SEVIS payment, we suggest checking their SEVIS status in advance through the same link
            9. English proficiency certificate
            10. Scholarship approval letter (if applicable)
