To benefit children and adults with special needs or disabilities by offering them the opportunity to interact with dedicated horses in a manner that promotes physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. We believe people can develop therapeutic relationships with horses, crossing boundaries of speech and physical disabilities in a way that encourages healing and improved self-esteem.

How to Volunteer

• After completing and submitting a volunteer application, if approved, you are eligible to participate in many of our volunteer opportunities.
• You will also be required to complete a Request to Volunteer form per participation for each project or event in which you participate.

Qualifications

• Adults are individuals 18 years old or above
• The City of Doral does not provide volunteer opportunities for those seeking community service required by court.
• Please note that ALL adult volunteer applicants must go through an extensive background check.

OYC Miami | After-School Sports & Fitness Coach

Mission / Focus

OYC is seeking Coaches with experience in sports and fitness activities to lead engaging, age-appropriate after-school programming. This role focuses primarily on working with children, while also supporting sports and fitness sessions for staff.
Volunteers work closely with OYC staff to promote physical activity, teamwork, and overall wellness in a positive and energetic environment.
This volunteer opportunity is based at our OYC Headquarters in Overtown.
